Honey is Sweet

Wake up and smell the smoke... - 2008-12-27

...and see the mushroom clouds and hear the booms. Good morning!

We figured out a rationale that should make it acceptable to everyone. Last week when they were throwing bombs at us they missed and killed two little girls on their side of the fence.

So, while we obviously cannot be bombing them to protect ourselves (that would be BAD), we are allowed to blow up their bombs and rockets - ammo dumps (multiple rolling booms, either an ammo dump or a gas station), in order to prevent them from killing their own children. Because they clearly can't be trusted to use them responsibly.

Please note that my sarcasm is not because I am glad they killed the two little girls, or because I think it is a good thing that we are forced to kill some of them in order to protect ourselves. However, coming up with a 'politically correct' spin on our protecting ourselves - because we are not 'supposed' to protect ourselves against the Pore Palestinians - is a family game with an ironic edge.

In any event, I'm awake now. As is my whole family, everyone on the moshav, probably everyone in the Gaza belt, and maybe even a few of those Pore Palestinians. Can anyone out there hear us? Only when we fight back. *sigh*

TH just commented on how it compares to living near the bombing test range in Florida. We stayed there and got to hear some of the American pilots practicing hitting their target. It's louder here, and the ground and roof shake, but there isn't the enormous pressure wave that felt like someone closing the door on the universe. Hmm. Comparative bombing experiences. Something *I* never thought to have.
